.Ha! Ha! I did one of those a while back. I was working at the Hotel Del Coronado and was telling one of my co-workers, who was from out of town, about the ghost that supposedly haunts the hotel. Of course, he called bull.
Towards the end of the job we had the honor of being allowed to go into the large turret, above the main ballroom. ............. In the old days, before they enclosed the ceiling, there was a catwalk up there where the cowboys could stand and watch the stage shows. You could also look out the windows and get a great view of the surroundings. While we were up there I took a bunch of pictures of the original structures, the joins and original wood beams.
Well... I couldn't resist the temptation to edit one of the pictures, which my buddy saw me take, and add a little something extra to it. I emailed him the picture and asked him if he saw anything unusual in it. He wrote me back, all excited, saying that the stories MUST be true.
I never did tell him the truth

Woah, Woah! Nevermore, you used to work at The Del?! AWESOME! I was just reading up on the death of the "Beautiful Stranger" in the papers last week-- I went down to the University and looked up some old articles as a follow-up to an article I wrote on the place for a paranormal blog. The story of the alleged suicide is interesting, but I thought it was amazing to read about some of the damage done by the storm. Sounds like it was more than a "big storm"-- it almost sounds like it was "tropical storm" quality... Huge gale-force winds that ripped roofing off several places and put boats in the dry dock. Crazy stuff! ... it's also interesting seeing what all else went down in that same time-period. I was looking up Resurrection Mary stuff too and came across a lot of John Dillinger articles. Kinda interesting to see how things all fit into place in a time-line. Anywho-- got any good ghost stories of your own about the place? ... and did you ever hear about the mystery of the fountain sculpture?

A creepy coincidence, days after I forgot I made my 'I want photoshop' post I downloaded a 30 day trial. I started something last night and finished it today. If you're wondering what this is of ask in the creepypasta thread and I'll tell you.

And I just made this a minute ago. For those of you who read the new cemetery thread, James Fisk's bust was stolen from his monument, so what explains his face there? Is he standing around waiting for it's return?
