Any meatloaf recipe should work.

Strips of pastry could be used instead to create a meat pie (especially if pastry was used on the bottom as well). It might work better than pasta which can get hard when baked.

A variation would be to wrap pastry around wieners (and bake) to create mini-mummies.

I like to make bacon wrapped barbecued meatloaf. I can put in a couple of olives for eyes and callit "mummy meat loaf" some October.

Some people got idea to make a vampire meatloaf. But, I've never seen that one before. I will check it out.
