I think 13 is a good enough age to go Trick or Treating without adults but I would NEVER EVER suggest going out ALONE! the more kids you can get together, the better!

My mom set 12 as the age limit to go with a group of friends... of course, by the time you were 12, most people would give you dirty looks for ToTing.... Ah, well....

I never went alone. I always thought it was safe to with my parents. And I never had a group of friends to go with. I think I want to go alone this year.

With parents or a group is best. It's safer and more fun. I don't think setting an exact age is a good idea because every kid is different. I could've easily went alone when I was 12 or so, but my little brother on the other hand would've terrorized the whole neighborhood at that age if he was unsupervised.

These days, always stick with friends. Don't EVER Trick or Treat alone! There are predators out there.

Heck, I went Trick or Treating alone when I was 7, and nobody ever said "boo." (pardon the pun). When I was 13, I was self consience about going "Trick or Treating" because I thought I was too old.
